Obama Presidential Center, saying the gala will raise money to kill unborn children.
The new Obama Center has been largely panned as ugly but now it will host America’s biggest abortion business to celebrate its ugly and gruesome abortion agenda.
Planned Parenthood Illinois Action is holding its “Fighting Forward” gala from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Sky Room at 6001 S. Stony Island Ave. The group calls the event its signature fall fundraiser.
Pro-Life Action League protesters and local pro-life advocates planned to gather outside from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with signs reading “Abortion is Nothing to Celebrate.”
Their banners accuse Planned Parenthood of killing more than 43,000 babies in abortions at its Chicagoland abortion centers every year.

“It’s ironic that the Obama Presidential Center is hosting a Planned Parenthood fundraiser,” said Eric Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League in comments to LifeNews.
He added:
“President Obama ran on a platform of ‘hope and change’, but what could be more hopeless than offering nothing but abortion to women in need? And what changes? She’s just as poor, just as alone, but now has to live with the lifelong regret that so often accompanies abortion. Real hope would mean encouraging her capacity to mother this child. Real change would mean dismantling the network of pressures that make women feel that abortion is their only choice.”
Pro-life organizers say the setting makes the event worse. A presidential center built around the language of hope, they argue, is being used to celebrate and finance abortion.
Planned Parenthood’s own latest annual report recorded 434,450 abortions in its most recent reporting year, an all-time high and about two in five abortions that end the lives of babies in the United States.
The same report listed 3,038 adoption referrals — more than 143 abortions for every adoption referral.
The League says those numbers show why a black-tie celebration is indecent. Abortion is not health care and is not a victory for women. It ends a child’s life and too often leaves the mother poorer, more isolated, and carrying regret.
Pro-life groups have long cited Obama’s record as hostile to unborn children. That record includes repeated votes against born-alive protections for infants who survive abortion, repeal of the Mexico City Policy that barred U.S. funds from going to groups that perform or promote abortion overseas, and repeated fights to keep taxpayer money flowing to Planned Parenthood.
