Lawlessness returned to South Los Angeles early Monday morning as a massive mob of over 100 looters ransacked an AutoZone store, marking the second time in a year that the same location has been targeted amid street takeover chaos.

According to Fox 11 Los Angeles, the brazen looting began around 4:00 a.m., when a large crowd swarmed the business on the 9800 block of South Hoover Street.

Looters were smashing their way inside and stealing countless items before vanishing into the night.

“A radio call was generated for a ‘Burglary Suspects There Now,’” the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told Fox 11 Los Angeles.

Police added that at least 20 individuals were seen actively looting the store during the call.

Security footage and reports from the Citizen app captured the aftermath: shattered glass, broken display cases, and a ripped-open metal fence, as individuals pillaged the store with apparent impunity.

Police say the suspects had already fled by the time officers arrived.

A formal burglary report has been filed, and detectives are now probing whether the looting was connected to a larger street takeover event.

Illegal car shows often spiral into riots, blockades, and destruction.

Incredibly, this is the second time in less than a year that the exact same AutoZone has been hit in a similar fashion.

The 2024 incident, which authorities tied to another street takeover, resulted in an estimated $67,000 in merchandise losses.

At that time, security camera footage led to several arrests, though critics say prosecution and punishment were minimal, reinforcing a culture of zero accountability.

Unfortunately, events like this are no longer isolated.

They are symptoms of a much deeper crisis unfolding in left-run urban centers across America: lawless mobs, emboldened by soft-on-crime prosecutors and defunded police departments, brazenly loot, burn, and destroy without fear of consequences.

Instead of addressing the rise in mob violence, leaders in Los Angeles are busy pushing “equity” audits, banning plastic bags, and funding drag storytelling hours.

Meanwhile, working-class communities suffer the real consequences of failed governance.

Police say they are reviewing footage to identify those responsible for Monday’s carnage, but given the track record, residents aren’t holding their breath.

In the meantime, small businesses in L.A., already struggling with theft, vandalism, and crippling taxes, face yet another grim reality: no one is coming to save them.

Unless city officials grow a spine, this won’t be the last time criminals treat Los Angeles like their personal playground.
