X boss Elon Musk has confirmed that “way more than $100 million” in American taxpayer dollars have been funneled to Antifa and other radical leftist groups through far-left non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Musk’s comments are amplifying explosive claims made at a White House roundtable convened by President Donald Trump.

The revelations came in response to a high-profile discussion on Antifa attacks, where journalists recounted firsthand experiences of violence at the hands of far-left domestic terrorists.

The most significant testimony, however, came from Seamus Bruner, Director of Research at the Government Accountability Institute (GAI).

Bruner detailed a sprawling network of dark-money nonprofits and activist organizations fueling unrest across the country.

“We have identified dozens of radical organizations, not just the decentralized Antifa organizations, but dozens of radical organizations that have received more than $100 million from the Riot Inc investors,” Bruner told Trump.

Musk later weighed in on X, sharing a video of Bruner’s briefing and commenting: “Way more than $100M of US taxpayer money.”

Pulling Back the Curtain

Bruner’s findings build on reporting from the New York Times, citing a Capital Research Center analysis that revealed George Soros’ Open Society network poured $80 million into pro-terror groups.

According to GAI, the violence in cities like Portland, Chicago, and Los Angeles is far from spontaneous.

Instead, it is coordinated, funded, and sustained by what Bruner calls the “protest-industrial complex.”

“This is not just a story about violence and chaos … this is a money story,” Bruner told Trump.

“And at the Government Accountability Institute … we follow the money, and we followed it to the top of what we call the protest industrial complex.”

How the Funding Works

GAI’s new research shows how progressive philanthropic networks intersect with activist groups, creating a complex web of donor-advised funds, charitable entities, and online platforms that mask the true sources of financing.

“GAI has identified multiple online fundraising platforms where accountability gaps can obscure who contributes and how funds are used. The leftist funding platform, Open Collective, still allows for crowdfunding for these groups.”

At the roundtable, Bruner named names: the Soros/Open Society network, the Arabella Advisors network, the Tides Foundation, Neville Roy Singham and his foreign-backed groups, and other major left-wing funders.

“They’re pouring money into this entire ecosystem,” Bruner said, warning that the infrastructure supporting violent protest has been institutionalized through these funding pipelines.

The Road Ahead

For the first time, millions of Americans are now hearing about the dark-money networks enabling Antifa and similar groups.

The revelations have sparked calls for investigations into how taxpayer funds were allowed to flow into organizations accused of fomenting violence.

Trump’s roundtable, amplified by Musk’s confirmation, marks the beginning of what promises to be a deep probe into how NGOs, activist groups, and progressive megadonors have weaponized taxpayer dollars to bankroll radical street movements.
