In a stunning development, President Donald Trump’s administration has seized a cell phone and hard drives used by Dr. Anthony Fauci during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The devices were located and recovered by the FBI and could finally shed light on what really happened behind closed doors.

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed the discovery on the “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.

Patel called it a “great breakthrough” in the government’s long-running probe into the pandemic’s origins and the controversial federal response.

“We found it,” Patel told Rogan.

“And now we’re going to exploit those hard drives.”

While details about how the devices were found or how they were verified as Fauci’s remain undisclosed, Patel said the content could expose potential misconduct, misinformation, and suppression of dissenting science during a time of national crisis.

What Did Fauci Know — and When?

Patel didn’t mince words:

“We owe those answers to the American people… Did that guy lie?

“Did he intentionally mislead the world and cause countless deaths?”

The recovered phone and hard drives may contain communications related to mask mandates, school closures, and the highly politicized lab-leak theory — all of which Fauci has been accused of flip-flopping on.

While Fauci once called the lab-leak theory “a very, very, very, very remote possibility,” leaked emails and independent investigations suggest he helped shape narratives to discredit it, despite knowing of potential ties between his former agency (NIAID) and the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in China.

WIV received U.S. taxpayer-funded grant money for risky virus experiments, which were signed off on by Fauci.

An International Consensus Emerges

Intelligence agencies both at home and abroad are coalescing around the lab-leak theory.

The German BND’s secret “Project Saaremaa” found substantial evidence supporting it, including documents that revealed Chinese researchers possessed detailed knowledge of COVID-19 far earlier than publicly admitted.

They assigned the theory a probability of 80–95% certainty.

Even former CDC Director Robert Redfield declared he was “100% convinced” the virus emerged from a lab accident during high-risk gain-of-function research.

Gain-of-function is the same kind of research Fauci’s agency quietly funded.

Fauci’s Crumbling Legacy

Once praised as “America’s doctor,” Fauci’s reputation has nosedived amid revelations of his misleading statements, such as:

  • Masks: First said they weren’t necessary — later admitted it was to conserve supply.
  • Vaccines: Claimed they would prevent infection — later reversed.
  • Schools: Supported extended closures — later admitted the consequences were severe.
  • Lab Leak: Publicly dismissed — privately covered up theory.

Even his denial of involvement in gain-of-function research has come under scrutiny.

Watchdogs are criticizing his agency for failing to monitor its own grants to Wuhan researchers.

Despite denying any cover-up, the recovered phone and hard drives may now serve as critical evidence in determining what Fauci knew and whether he intentionally misled the public.

“My mission has always been to put out the truth,” Patel told Rogan.

“Whatever the consequences — whoever it’s against.”
