Canada is sliding deeper into a population crisis as new government data confirms the birth rate has collapsed to the lowest level in the nation’s history, for the second year in a row.
According to Statistics Canada’s 2024 births and stillbirths report, the country’s official fertility rate is now just 1.25 children per woman.
The figure is down from 1.26 in 2023.
That number is far below the replacement rate of 2.1 needed for any nation to sustain itself.
The findings are devastating and reveal that nine of Canada’s ten provinces and all three territories reported record-low fertility.
British Columbia sits at a catastrophic 1.02, a figure barely above extinction levels.
Even Ontario, Canada’s most populous province, is at just 1.21.
Meanwhile, the average age of childbearing has climbed to 31.8 years, the oldest in Canadian history.
Back in 1976, the average was 26.7.
However, fewer women are having babies today, and those who do are waiting longer, compounding the demographic crisis.
In total, just 368,928 babies were born in 2024.
Canada once boasted a robust fertility rate of 3.94 children per woman in 1959.
However, this number began falling after the introduction and legalization of the birth control pill in the 1960s.
Since then, the nation’s fertility rate has been on a relentless decline.
Today, the federal government continues to push the same globalist agenda of aggressively promoting contraception, abortion, and mass immigration as a substitute for natural population growth.
Meanwhile, local governments are failing to incentivize family formation.
Ottawa, for example, is doubling down on policies that suppress it.
Even mainstream voices are raising the alarm.
Earlier this year, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute warned that collapsing fertility represents “a major public policy challenge requiring immediate federal action.”
But the truth is obvious: Canada’s elites are not interested in solutions.
They are driving the nation toward dependency on mass migration while eroding family stability and discouraging children altogether.
This is not an accident; it’s part of a wider globalist agenda to weaken national populations under the guise of “progress,” leaving nations like Canada dependent, divided, and ultimately easier to control.
It comes after leading experts in Canada recently issued a global alert after an investigation confirmed that an “alarming” surge in “unexpected” or “excess” deaths is linked to Covid “vaccine” mandates.
A shocking report published earlier this month by one of Canada’s top constitutional rights groups has blown the lid off the true toll of Covid policies pushed by governments around the world.
The report warns that forced mRNA injections, lockdowns, and manipulated mortality data have fueled an unprecedented wave of preventable deaths.
The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) has just released its report, titled “Post-Covid Canada: The Rise in Unexpected Deaths.”
The report reveals that “unexpected” or “excess” deaths skyrocketed after “vaccine” mandates and widespread mRNA injection uptake.
If current trends continue, Canada will face a population implosion within a generation, with irreversible consequences for culture, sovereignty, and freedom itself.
