The US president said he was unsure that resolving the war in Gaza would be enough to earn him a ticket. “Earn him a ticket?”

US President Donald Trump has suggested that it is unlikely he will end up in heaven despite his efforts to mediate peace between Israel and Hamas.

During Trump’s flight aboard Air Force One to Israel on Sunday, Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked the president whether ending the war in Gaza would help him get into heaven.

“I’m being a little cute,” Trump said, smiling and chuckling. “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven. I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people,” he added.

Trump then boasted about his negotiating skills, claiming that the conflict between Israel and Hamas would be “the eighth war that I’ve solved.”

On Monday, Hamas freed the 20 remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The Israeli army earlier halted offensive operations and withdrew from parts of the Gaza Strip.

Later that day, Trump and the leaders of Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye signed a declaration in Sharm el-Sheikh, in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, endorsing the ceasefire and a path toward “comprehensive and durable peace arrangements.”

Trump’s 20-point peace plan calls for Gaza to become a “deradicalized terror-free zone.” Although Hamas agreed to the prisoner swap outlined in the plan, it refused to disarm or hand over power in the Palestinian enclave. Israel has so far not committed to a full withdrawal from the strip.

Trump  was raised Presbyterian and has had a particularly strong base of support among Evangelical Christians throughout his political career.

In spite of all the good things President Trump has done or is trying to do, his understanding of salvation through Jesus Christ is extremely lacking. He is known to have embraced Judaism, and supposedly has become a follower of Judaism. Christianity and Judaism are NOT one and the same and actually have nothing in common with each other. Contrary to what too many so-called Christian teachers have been telling people.

The only true similarity that those who profess to be Jews, living in the land of Israel had in common with Jesus Christ is that they both lived in the land where Jesus walked, and grew up as a man on this earth.

The so-called Jews or those claiming to be of the Mosaic covenant do not believe, even to this day that Jesus is the Christ. Those who live in Israel who do put their faith in Jesus as the Christ/Messiah become “born again.” And this was “the requirement” to enter the kingdom of God just like Jesus told Nicodemus. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3

Jesus taught his disciples and said, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

People may be calling President Trump a child of God for all his work in helping bring peace to the middle east, but Jesus never said that the peacemakers ARE children of God. He said they will be CALLED the children of God.

With only a few exceptions of the people living in Israel, most Jewish people are not born again, and they’re not going to heaven. Why is that true? The apostle Paul answers that question in Romans. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:3

What is the only prescribed way to be “born again” and enter the kingdom of heaven, according to what God says? The apostle Paul talks about it in the same chapter. And makes it very clear. There is only one acceptable way before God the Father.

1 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God concerning (Israel) them is for their salvation. I can testify about them that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Since they are ignorant of the righteousness of God and attempted to establish their own righteousness, they have not submitted to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, since Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them. But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart, “Who will go up to heaven?” that is, to bring Christ down or, “Who will go down into the abyss?” that is, to bring Christ up from the dead. On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, Everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame, 12 since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him. 13 For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:1-13

The Apostle Paul made it clear that no one can keep the law. NO ONE.

10 For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, Everyone who does not do everything written in the book of the law is cursed. 11 Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous will live by faith. 12 But the law is not based on faith; instead, the one who does these things will live by them. 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. Galatians 3:10-13

President Trump would need to humble himself as a little child before God and then he could believe in his heart that “16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3-4

We can do many wonderful things while we’re on this earth if we choose to, but no matter how many wonderful, good and righteous things we do while we’re on this earth we can still fall short of eternal salvation by trying to establish our own righteousness before God, and not accepting his righteousness.

Yes, there is only one way to heaven12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
