Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has sharply criticized President Donald Trump, calling him a “vile creature” and “the worst thing on the face of the Earth.”
The California Democrat made the remarks during a CNN interview published Monday.
“He’s just a vile creature,” Pelosi said.
“The worst thing on the face of the Earth.”
“You think he’s the worst thing on the face of the Earth?” interviewer Elex Michaelson asked.
“I do, yeah. I do,” Pelosi affirmed.
The comments came as California voters head to the polls for Proposition 50.
The measure could significantly reshape the state’s congressional districts ahead of next year’s elections.
The ballot initiative has become a flashpoint in the national battle over redistricting and control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Critics have described Proposition 50 as a “power grab” by Democrats seeking to override California’s nonpartisan redistricting commission.
Pelosi, however, defended the measure, framing it as a necessary step to counter President Trump’s influence.
Michaelson noted that Pelosi herself linked the ballot initiative directly to pushing back against Trump.
“He Does Not Honor the Constitution”
When asked about her remarks, Pelosi pointed to what she called a series of Trump’s abuses of power.
However, she continued by citing false claims about the president.
“Because he’s the president of the United States, and he does not honor the Constitution of the United States,” Pelosi claimed.
“In fact, he’s turned the Supreme Court into a rogue court.
“He’s abolished the House of Representatives,” the former speaker alleged.
“He’s chilled the press.
“He’s scared people who are in our country legally.”
