In the latest episode of political theater from America’s Democrat “elite,” Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter of failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, said she felt “trauma” while voting in the New York City mayoral primary.
Emhoff complained on social media that she cast her ballot at the same polling station where she voted for her stepmom, who then went on to lose to President Donald Trump in 2024.
“You know, I’m feeling a little trauma,” Emhoff said in a bizarre video posted to social media.
“I’m also so hopeful…
“Let’s f***ing do this, guys.”

She was talking about Zohran Mamdani, a radical-left state assemblyman who just won the Democrat nomination for mayor in a city already run into the ground by progressive policies.
By winning the Democrat primary in the deep blue city, Mamdani is now all but certain to be NYC’s next mayor.
Mamdani is an AOC-aligned socialist who wants to run NYC like Venezuela.
His platform includes a proposal straight out of a communist manifesto: Government-run grocery stores.
Mamdani plans to use taxpayer money to create a network of city-owned food markets that don’t have to pay rent or taxes, can “centralize warehousing,” and will supposedly “pass the savings to shoppers.”
Sound familiar? It should.
It’s the kind of centralized, state-controlled system that collapses economies and destroys consumer choice.
This is the man the Democratic Party is rallying behind.
Harris’s stepdaughter called Mamdani’s victory “spectacular.”
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), meanwhile, cheered the win as a historic victory over the “political, economic, and media Establishment.”
Apparently, “queer liberation means defund the police” is now a serious campaign slogan, not a parody of progressive politics.
Former Governor Andrew Cuomo, one of the few high-profile names in the race, conceded with a whimper.
Cuomo said Mamdani “deserved it.”
That should say everything about how far left the party has gone when even Cuomo looks moderate by comparison.
The truth is, this isn’t a campaign. It’s a warning.
When elite daughters of failed candidates cry “trauma” and then praise government grocery stores, you know we’ve crossed into uncharted territory.
When Democratic socialists win primaries in one-party cities with collapsing infrastructure and skyrocketing crime, it’s not just local politics; it’s a preview of where national Democrats want to take the entire country.
Ella Emhoff might feel hopeful.
Regular Americans watching their cities fall apart under soft-on-crime, tax-hiking, police-defunding radicals probably feel something else:
