Globalist billionaire Bill Gates has sparked widespread alarm after warning that looming “water shortages” will soon trigger “the biggest mass mortality event the world has ever seen.”
In a disturbing viral video clip, Gates then warns of “billions of people dying” before appearing to point toward the United States Water Reserve as the answer.
The chilling remarks have sent social media into overdrive, with critics questioning why one of the world’s most influential billionaires is sounding the alarm about a resource every human being depends on to survive.
Gates Warns of Mass Death from Water Shortages
The short clip begins with Gates warning that water shortages could become the largest mass mortality event in history.
He then escalates the warning by referring to “billions of people dying.”
The clip goes on to suggest that investment in the United States Water Reserve could help address the crisis.
Posts circulating alongside the video have claimed that Gates warned more than one billion people could die because they would not have enough water to drink.
Others have connected the remarks to broader concerns about depopulation and the growing concentration of control over food, land, water, and other essential resources.
The viral clip has transformed a long-running debate over water scarcity into a far more urgent question: who will control access to water if shortages become severe?

That connection has also become central to the marketing surrounding the United States Water Reserve project.
‘United States Water Reserve’ Is Not a Government Agency
Despite its official-sounding name, United States Water Reserve (USWR), touted by Gates in the video, is not a federal agency or public water authority.
It is a cryptocurrency project built around water resources and AI infrastructure.
Its website describes USWR as a Solana-based digital asset and promotes the idea that expanding AI data centers will make access to water increasingly valuable.
However, the project’s own website states that its proposed framework did not pass legislation and was canceled.
Independent cryptocurrency analysis has also found no evidence that holding USWR provides ownership of reservoirs, water rights, utilities, or physical water infrastructure.
The token does not give holders a legal claim to those assets.
The project also states that it is not affiliated with Gates or his organizations.
Yet, the USWR website itself references Gates among wealthy investors associated with water-related assets and technology.
‘He Who Controls the Water Controls the World’
The Gates clip nevertheless triggered a wave of concern over who stands to control future water resources.
In response to the video, journalist Jon Bowne warns:
“He who controls the water controls the world.”
That warning strikes at the heart of the controversy.
Gates has long been associated with global debates surrounding agriculture, climate technology, resource efficiency, and water.
The USWR website itself references Gates among wealthy investors linked to water-related assets and technology, while also stating that the project has no affiliation with him.
The bigger issue is not simply one cryptocurrency token.
It is the expanding nexus between water, AI infrastructure, corporate power, and government policy.
In an analysis of Gates’s comments, Bowne links the remarks to the wider globalist agenda.
