Trump Shreds Reporter During Presser: ‘She’s Fake News – CNN – The Worst!’

President Donald Trump shut down a CNN reporter at the White House on Tuesday after unveiling America.gov, a new artificial intelligence-powered website designed to help Americans navigate the federal government.

Trump spoke to reporters outside the Oval Office after meeting with Speaker Mike Johnson and leading technology executives, including Elon Musk, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei.

The president used the rare outdoor press conference to promote America’s AI leadership before turning his attention to CNN.

‘CNN Fake News’

A CNN reporter attempted to question Trump about whether artificial intelligence companies should be permitted to police themselves.

“Do you think that self-policing is an option?” the reporter asked.

“Hold it, hold it,” Trump responded, prompting her to apologize.

“CNN fake news,” Trump declared.

The president then turned to Amodei and added, “She’s fake news — CNN — the worst!”

The comment provoked laughter from the tech executives.

Zuckerberg, in particular, appeared to struggle to contain his amusement.

The exchange came amid Trump’s ongoing battle with the left-wing network.

The president expelled CNN from the White House earlier this month and later barred the outlet from Air Force One.

Trump Unveils AI-Powered America.gov

Earlier Tuesday, Trump announced America.gov, an AI-powered portal designed to give Americans easier access to federal agencies and government services.

The website brings government agencies together in one location and uses artificial intelligence to reduce complicated bureaucratic processes from hours to minutes.

Trump highlighted the process of legally changing a last name and obtaining updated identification as an example of the tool’s capabilities.

The president argued that making government identification easier to obtain eliminates the “number one excuse” used by opponents of the SAVE America Act.

Trump’s announcement placed some of the nation’s most influential AI executives alongside his administration as it works to modernize the federal government and keep the United States ahead in the global technology race.
