Bill Clinton Celebrates Radical Socialist’s NYC …

Former President Bill Clinton has offered public endorsements of radical Democratic socialist Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani following his apparent victory in New York City’s mayoral primary.

Clinton had previously backed former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in the race.

Nevertheless, Clinton posted his congratulations to Mamdani in a post on X on Wednesday.

The former president commented after unofficial results showed the far-left assemblyman securing the top spot in the ranked-choice primary.

“Congratulations @ZohranKMamdani on your victory in yesterday’s primary election and a well-run campaign,” Clinton wrote.

“I’m wishing you much success in November and beyond as you work to bring New Yorkers together to tackle the city’s challenges and shape a stronger, fairer future.”

Mamdani represents Queens in the New York State Assembly and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America.

He ran on a platform that included aggressive left-wing proposals such as freezing rent citywide, providing universal government-funded childcare, and eliminating fares for public buses.

His X bio reads:

“Running for Mayor to freeze the rent, make buses fast + free, and deliver free universal childcare.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) also voiced support for Mamdani, calling his campaign a model for progressive organizing.

“Zohran’s inspiring campaign showed what grassroots movements can achieve when we fight for bold policies,” Warren wrote.

“His focus on government serving the people—not billionaires—will make life more affordable for NYC.

“I strongly support @ZohranKMamdani.

“He’ll be a fantastic mayor!”

Mamdani responded by thanking Warren directly.

“This means a great deal to me, @ewarren,” he wrote.

“Thank you for your leadership, your fight for working families, and your support.”

President Donald Trump, responding to Mamdani’s win on Truth Social, criticized the direction of the Democratic Party.

Trump offered a blunt assessment of the socialist candidate.

“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line,” Trump wrote.

“We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous…

“Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!”

In a separate post, Trump referred to Mamdani as “a 100% Communist Lunatic.”

The president included Mamdani in a list of Democrats he described as “Low IQ” and “radical,” warning that their agenda would “really SCREW” the country.

Mamdani secured victory in a crowded primary field that included Cuomo, who conceded the race in a public statement Tuesday night.

“I want to applaud the assemblyman for a really smart and good and impactful campaign,” Cuomo said.

“Tonight is his night. He deserved it. He won.”

Mamdani’s policy agenda has drawn widespread attention and criticism from both parties.

Among his proposals is the creation of a city-run grocery store system, intended to operate without profit and funded by public dollars, as well as a past statement declaring that “queer liberation means defund the police.”

Despite his alignment with democratic socialism, Mamdani has received endorsements from high-profile national Democrats, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

After the primary, Samders wrote::

“Congratulations to Zohran Mamdani and his thousands of grassroots supporters for their extraordinary campaign.

“You took on the political, economic, and media Establishment — and you beat them.

“Now it’s on to victory in the general election.”

Mamdani will face a Republican challenger in the general election this November.
