X boss Elon Musk has issued a warning about excessive government spending and America’s bloated national debt.
Musk is once again sounding the alarm on reckless government spending by issuing a scathing rebuke of the latest congressional spending bill and the Republicans who supported it.
He warns that America’s financial future is being mortgaged for political convenience.
In a post on X early Wednesday, Musk wrote:

With the U.S. national debt topping $36 trillion, Musk called attention to the crushing burden of interest payments:
“Interest payments already consume 25% of all government revenue. If the massive deficit spending continues, there will only be money for interest payments and nothing else! No social security, no medical, no defense … nothing.”

Musk’s comments come as he continues to speak out against the “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
Despite President Donald Trump’s support for the spending bill, Musk came out swinging against both the bill and the politicians behind it.
The bill passed the House last month and awaits approval from the Senate.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk declared.
“This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
When Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked about Musk’s criticism, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt doubled down on Trump’s support:
“The president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill.
“It doesn’t change the president’s opinion.
“This is one big, beautiful bill, and he’s stickin’ to it.”
Musk didn’t stop there, however.
He emphasized the urgency of addressing America’s spending addiction before it’s too late:
“Mammoth spending bills are bankrupting America! ENOUGH,” he wrote in another post.
After years of Washington continuing to play political games with taxpayer money, voices like Musk’s are demanding accountability, fiscal sanity, and an end to the pork-barrel culture that’s saddling future generations with crushing debt.
For fiscal hawks, Musk is doing what many in D.C. won’t—calling out bipartisan fiscal irresponsibility and warning Americans of the price they’ll ultimately pay.
